Whats the best thing i can do to get rid of these things. without doing braces... i should of thought of this a long time ago,,, now im 19 and dont know whats the best thing to do to get rid of them...

Reply:The only way to move your teeth is with braces, sorry, I know you probably wanted to hear something else. Why don't you want braces? expense? pain? You are so young, now is a great time to get the beautiful smile you want. See an orthodontist. Maybe you can be treated with retainers. Usually braces are needed to correct anything other than minor tooth movement.

Buck teeth???
what is the quickest way of getting it fixed with out braces, I been teased and made fun of it all my life about it and it still gets to me, I can't even smile with my mouth open cause I dont want people to make fun of me and want people to treat me nicely so I put on a forse smile with my mouth closed and mostly have my mouth closed, when I look in the mirror I dont like what I see......

Braces are really the only way to straighten out that problem Im afraid! They do have the invisible ones now so that you dont have to just wear metal. But both are quite expensive. Never look at yourself and put yourself down! And never listen to the crap others say either! Bully's are just insecure wrecks that they feel they have to make someone else look small so they can look big! Good luck to you sweetheart

Reply:i have to say braces. i know the feeling of not wanting to smile and laugh. i used to cover my mouth whenver i smiled. it hurt when people made fun of me for my teeth. at this time, everyone called me "the witch" which has something to do with my last name... and i got braces. before i got them i had to have 11 teeth pulled (8 permenent and 3 baby teeth) and then everyone called me "rat" i hated it. after i got them no one at all made fun of me. my braces make me, and when i get them off i will have a wonderful smile. they are DEFINITALYL worth it. im getting mine off this year. iv had them on for about 2 years now because i had a lot of problems with them.
tip- if you get braces, if someone says something rude to you, just say "my teeth cost more then yours!!! I GOT A GRILL, BABY!!!" and they'll laugh like crazy. right now my teeth cost 11,000 dollars because i had to get put to sleep when i got my teeth pulled

I had braces at 25. I have patients in their 50's with them. You are not too old. If you think that your two front teeth look too long either ask your dentist to add bonding onto the teeth on the sides or ....and this is hard to find a dentist that will do it....ask them to file down your front two teeth. The filing down is painful and rather abrasive. I had the bonding done and I love it!!!! It isn't expensive, doesn't hurt, takes up to an hour, and it looks great.
Also, if you're having a problem with little gaps the bonding will work for that too.
