If Jesus had buck teeth, would you still worship Him?
You make an interesting point.
Jesus is usually portrayed as being quite attractive, wise, and worthy of adoration...
But there must have been some who were not so certain, including Judas, at least for a short time.
Jesus would go to people's houses and expose their sins over dinner (rude? poor etiquette?). And I don't recall any place where he apologized or said "excuse me" or "I beg your pardon". He gave people freedom to follow or reject him, but once they chose to follow, he said their decisions would lead to their deaths, and he didn't even apologize for that.
I would say it has become easier to worship Jesus, because he has become (for most of us) abstract, like God or the Holy Spirit.
But I would venture to say that most of us would have had some reservations when faced with a real life, walking and talking man. There must have been some things he said and did that made people wonder if he could really be divine.

For all we know, maybe He did!
If that's the case, then people from Montana, Idaho, Arkansas, and anywhere in the back-country bayou should warm up a little more to becoming practicing Christians.

Look into clear braces or invisalign or even lingual - where they but the brackets on the back of your teeth. They do take longer to do the job and are a little more expensive... but if they make you feel less self-conscious - then hey...
The time frame is going to be based on how much movement is involved. Do you have a lot of space between teeth? Then they will move quicker. If the teeth are crowded - it will take longer to get them in place.
Best thing to do is ask the Dentist. If you don't know anyone who has been through orthodontic treatment - ask the dentist if you can talk to a patient who is nearly done or is complete. I'm sure this will make you feel better about your decision.
After it is over - I really don't think you are going to say, "I am soooo mad that I wasted 18 months getting my teeth straightened... I could have just covered my mouth with my hand for the rest of my life!". :-)

If you sucked your fingers, thumb, or tongue thrusted as a child and didn't break the habit before the age of 4ish you can have development problems in adult teeth, resulting in open bite. If it is a skeletal problem you are already done growing and may need extractions of certain teeth,bicuspids, to help make room and allow the orthodontic treatment to move the two front teeth (called Centrals #8 %26amp; #9) into alignment. Consult your dentist and make sure all teeth are healthy and cavity free before beginning braces. Good luck.
Reply:To be honest, if your teeth are really sticking out now, braces will indeed make it look even 'uglier'. But it'll only be a few months, a year at most, till your teeth go down. Don't care about whether it makes you uglier or not, it's more of whether you can feel confident about yourself.

If you were a high school girl, would you rather go toothless or have ugly buck teeth that hurt all the time?
I'm 15 and after havin' "optionB"(ugly hurtin teeth) I decided to go with "option A" after a lot of them got loose and I lost a couple front teeth. What would you pick? Why? Oh yeah, no dental coverage so not havin much money we didn't have a lot of choices that were anything like affordable. Hope to get some fake teeth in the spring maybe.
