Wisdom tooth extraction procedure.?

Dentist took xrays, the oral surgeon already consulted me about me teeth and said they need to come out, but it wasn't urgent. This was over a year ago, and I dont want to go back to the same oral surgeon, he charged me 80 bucks for a 5 minute consultation, which I thought was a complete rip off, he only told me what I already knew, my bottom teeth are impacted, well duh I could have told him that. So now, a year later how do I go about getting these teeth removed? Once I find a new surgeon, can I just get my xrays from the other guy and bring them to the new surgeon.

Wisdom tooth extraction procedure.?
The new dentist may request new xrays and also may charge you a new patient consultation fee, so unless you have a serious oblection to the first guy my advice would be to return to him. If you must go to someone new, ask if they will charge when you call and make your appt. The xrays you had taken before can be given to you at your request, go to that office and ask for them.
Reply:After a year, new X-rays will probably be needed
Reply:depends...some oral surgeons (most) are going to require a written referral from a dentist before they will see you. The former dentist may or may not giv eyou one if you just call and tell them what you need. And since it's been a tyear I bet that he will say he needs you to come back in. Sorry.
Reply:Oh man, I'm going through the exact same thing. Man I need to go to the dentist, too. Good luck
Reply:If you want to have the X-rays sent to a new Oral Surgeon you can sign a consent form to have that done at their office.. However, the new Oral Surgeon will again charge you a consultation fee and the former surgeon may charge you to send the X-rays.
Reply:You can bring your old xrays to the new surgeons , he may or may not accept your xrays.
